As a seasoned Daily Mail journalist, I know the types of articles they look for in the travel section. I pitched this piece based on the studies that showed the Spanish city as a great place to visit (and live). My list of seven reasons why Valencia should be on everyone’s radar was a hit and was featured on the Daily Mail homepage, too. Published just before the devastating Valencia floods, it also enjoyed a second showing when the city was in recovery.
